Following the announcement Louis Vuitton was releasing not one but seven fragrances, the only thing (apart from getting our hands on them, stat) left to wait for were the campaign images.

Well, they’re here.

Starring French actress Lea Seydoux and photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, the campaign images are every bit as beautiful as one would hope for the brand’s first fragrance.

Shot on location in South Africa, Seydoux is the perfect embodiment of Vuitton cool girl in the, dare we say, fierce, shoot.

The fragrances will be released in Australia September 15 and available from the brand's Sydney and Melbourne stores and online.

Les Parfums Louis Vuitton: an invitation to travel from the Maison Louis Vuitton, a prologue to an imminent departure. A collection of seven olfactory emotions embodied by Léa Seydoux, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier at Lone Creek Falls – Sabie Town, South Africa. On the advertisement, the French actress and fashion icon interprets an astoundingly simple beauty on set for the new Fragrance Campaign from Louis Vuitton.

Les Parfums Louis Vuitton Starring Lea Seydoux - Seven Unexpected Emotional Journeys

Starting September 1st, the seven creations, seven unexpected emotional journeys inspired by the wild abandon experienced when far from home, including: Rose Des Vents, Turbulences, Dans La Peau, Apogée, Contre Moi, Matière Noire, and Mille Feux, will be available exclusively in selected Louis Vuitton stores and here on louisvuitton.com.

NATURAL BEAUTY: Léa Seydoux goes back to nature in the advertising for Louis Vuitton’s new perfume collection, which was photographed by Patrick Demarchelier in South Africa.

He shot the French actress at Lone Creek Falls near Sabie in Mpumalanga. In one black-and-white image, Seydoux stands in front of the waterfall, while in another, more up-close color photo, she holds a delicate pink flower.

Marie-Amélie Sauvé served as stylist for the campaign, while Damien Boissinot headed up hair and Christelle Cocquet was the makeup artist.

“Louis Vuitton is about travel, but it’s also about dreams. Its spirit blends adventure, discovery and emotion,” stated Seydoux.

The 31-year-old recently played the James Bond girl in “Spectre” and won the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013 for her role in “Blue is the Warmest Color.” Seydoux’s next silver-screen appearance will be in “It’s Only the End of the World,” directed by Xavier Dolan, who has fronted men’s wear campaigns for Vuitton.

The label’s fragrance ads are due to break in October magazine issues and the Sept. 15 editions of daily newspapers around the globe.

As reported, Vuitton is journeying back into the world of perfumes 90 years after the launch of its first two fragrances — Heures d’absence from 1927 and Je, Tu, Il from 1928. Called Les Parfums, the new offer is a collection of seven women’s scents that were created by in-house master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, who was given carte blanche for the project by parent company LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

“I wanted to celebrate women and their universal values — femininity in the world,” he said during the press launch in Paris. “I think that perfumes have to be back in luxury.”

The new Vuitton scents are to be sold starting today in some 200 of Vuitton’s stores worldwide. Flowers take center stage in the line of eaux de parfum, which includes Rose des Vents, Turbulences, Dans La Peau, Apogée, Contre Moi, Matière Noire and Mille Feux. Each is meant to correspond to a different olfactive journey.

Vuitton also has five pop-up units in the works, in Paris, London, Seoul and Dubai, to showcase its return to the perfumery business.

Thieves Swipe $140,000 Worth of Handbags from Louis Vuitton Store in Brazil

Louis Vuitton News

Louis Vuitton debuted an expansive Cruise 2017 collection in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, earlier this week, but news out of the South American country wasn’t all positive for the French luxury brand. According to theNew York Times, the Vuitton store in Rio’s upscale Ipanema neighborhood was robbed Tuesday morning, only two days after the attention-grabbing show.

Reports indicate the thieves made off with over $140,000 in handbags in the early morning hours; no products from other categories were mentioned. For reference, that’s about 36 of the brand’s popular City Steamer bags, which retail at $3,850 for the medium size is smooth leather.

Brazilian authorities did not stipulate which bags were taken, but Vuitton had released a handful of Cruise 2017 bags for general purchase immediately after the show on Saturday. The bags are only available online in the US, but Vanessa Friedman of the NYT speculates that local excitement and attention over the show may have influenced the robbers, and the occasion certainly could have made a timely hit more attractive.

If you see any Louis Vuitton bag available from Brazilian sellers with prices that seem too good to be true, don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Louis Vuitton The Art Of Packing

Louis Vuitton News

Louis-Vuitton-The-Art-Of-Packing

Do you want to learn how to properly pack your luggage? Or want to learn how to pack as efficient as possible so you can maximize the space? Learn it from the fashion house that have been designing and manufacturing suitcases since 1854 – Louis Vuitton.

Louis-Vuitton-The-Art-Of-Packing-2Louis-Vuitton-The-Art-Of-Packing-3

The Pegase: The Pegase is a superbly functional rolling suitcase, which features several attractive advantages. It rolls, saving the strain of carrying heavy luggage. It is structured, protecting all the items inside. It has garment cover to hang a suit.

Tip #1: Opening the suitcase
For efficient packing, the first trick is to lay out everything needed for the trip in order to ensure that nothing gets forgotten and avoid having to repack. Open the suitcase, remove the garment cover and lift the clothing protection flaps out to the sides.

Tip #2: Heavy items – Pouch 1
The trick is to optimal packing is to place the heavy objects at the bottom of the suitcase. Start with the toiletries bag for example, which is generally quite heavy. For rolling luggage, it is important to remember to place the heavy objects towards the wheels.

Then place heavy items such as the cosmetics pouch in the bottom of the suitcase. Bear in mind that toiletries must not surpass 100 mls, therefore travel-size cosmetics are preferable.

Tip #3: Between the rails
The space around the two rails at the back of the Pegase can be used to optimize packing. Rolled up clothes such as jeans, t-shirts and knits fit nicely between the rails.

Tip #4: Curved Area
The space between the rolled-up items and toiletry kits is a perfect place for shoes, as there is a little curve for them to sit perfectly.

Put the shoes in separate felt bags, and then place them in the curved area, one on each side. Shoe trees or tissue paper can be used to protect the shoe; otherwise the space inside the shoe can be used for additional items, such as belts, accessories, and socks.

Tip #5: Small items
Accessories are generally rolled up and placed in a corner of the luggage in order to save space, however it is preferential for ties to be placed in a tie case which ensures the best protection for them.

Belts can be rolled up, and multiple belts can be rolled up very tight inside each other. Additional space in the corners is perfect for small items such as a tie case, rolled-up belts, a scarf and even chargers or other items.

Place items such as city guides against the rails so the structure of the suitcase as well as the rolled items around them help to protect them during the journey.

Accessories can also alternatively lay flat amongst the layers of clothing, as this helps to prevent the clothes from moving.

Items requiring additional security checks, for example a laptop, should be placed near the top to facilitate access.

Remaining small items such as sunglasses, hat, or gloves can be simply placed the top of the suitcase, at the handle end as they are light.

Tip #6: On The Top
Shirts can then be placed on the top. They can either be interlaced or separate in plastic bags. Shirts collars are to be unfolded in order to avoid additional creases.

Some additional space may remain for an extra knit, which can either be rolled up and put in a corner or placed flat. Flattening out the surface helps maximize space.

Tip #7: Garment Bag
The last item to be packed in the Pegase is the business suit. Place the pants on the hanger using the method to prevent them from slipping. Then simply add the jacket onto the hanger. Place the business suit in the garment cover, fold it over and then carefully place it on the top of the suitcase.
